young mothers and the children they bear.

this is sarah and her son elliott. "young mothers and the children they bear." will be the working title of a new series that I started today. being around young parents as of late has opened my eyes to a world that I know little about. I have a new found admiration for young parents, so I figured that it would be a great concept to explore, photographically. the exact direction of this series is unclear at the moment, i'm just along for the ride.

the sky was looking good yesterday, so we decided to shoot a couple of look in pasadena.

i've been meaning to shoot here for quite some time now, i wish i would've done it sooner.

MC Supernatural

I shot a few portraits of MC Supernatural last night at his loft.

He has a gnarly figurine collection, some of which you can see in the photos. We discussed a future shoot, possibly including his collection. But for now, here are these.

I snagged the Canon 50mm f/1.2L

Iv'e been dreaming about this lens for days and now I finally own it.

sf bangers.

I flew my gf and I up to SF for our 1yr anniversary/NYE.

It was good time. We stayed with my best bud, Mike "D!SHRAG" Law. He has an awesome apt above a mortuary, its rad. Here are a few of my favs from the trip.

chinatown, sf.

on a recent trip to SF, I decided to take photographs of people without them knowing. in order to keep my presence unknown, I shot all of these images from waist/stomach level, without using the viewfinder. as a result, many of these images are crooked, out of focus and awkwardly composed. however, I feel that this was the only way that I would be able to capture "real expressions". most of these were shot in chinatown.

Live Shots

I started off shooting nothing but concerts, but as of late iv'e mainly been shooting promos. So when I was hired to shoot some live shots @ the glasshouse, I was more than happy to mix it up and shoot the show.

Bella Rouge

So Iv'e started playing/making music again. I'm playing drums for Bella Rouge.

I'm pretty stoked on this. It's nice to make music when i'm not making photographs.
