Beryl Park.

One of my best friends was down from San Francisco, visiting So-Cal. He's also a photographer, and wanted a few tips on shooting with strobes, so we met up yesterday to shoot some photos. We ended up going to a park near my parents house, because it was getting late and I wanted to catch the sunset. While setting up my gear, a homeless man (James) rides up on his bike and starts asking what were doing, why were doing it, etc... We end up talking for a min, that min quickly turns into a 30min portrait/conversation session. James talked my ear off and told me some CRAZY stories (sorry, the stories aren't exactly blog-friendly). Turns out we both graduated from the same high school?! Crazy! Anyways, he was a super cool dood. He gave me his email and said he would keep an eye our for the photos. Hopefully his email account is active, I think he'd be stoked to see these.

David Hilliard, Black Panther Party.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph David Hilliard, Chief of Staff for the Black Panther Party. I photographed Mr. Hilliard before he gave a speech at an event up in San Francisco, hosted by MC Supernatural, featuring the Black Panther artwork of David Flores ATC. The shoot went great and the event was awesome. Minus a flat tire fiasco on the way to the bay, David Flores and I had an awesome little SF turnaround trip.

The day after the shoot, I received an email from Mr. Hilliard. He was super excited about the photos and invited David and myself back up to SF in February for a Black History Month/Black Panther Party event, which were both really looking forward to.

Anyhow, below is a video I took of Mr. Hilliard's speech, a few portraits from the shoot, and a few photos that D_Flo took of me at the shoot.

Bella Rouge.

When I'm not shooting photos, I enjoy playing drums. I'm a better photographer than drummer, but I still have fun. Check out my band Bella Rouge:

inanimate objects.

I was recently commissioned to shoot some product shots for MacroAir Technologies. I shot the products on-site at multiple locations: Beverly Hills (Benz dealership), Fountain Valley (restaurant supply store) and Paso Robles (Oso Libre Winery). My goal was to convey a distinct, yet cohesive vibe at each individual location.

David Flores ATC / The Seventh Letter

One of my best friends and talented stencil artist, David Flores ATC has been making & painting, hand-cut, computer-free stencils since 2001. Over the years, David has painted many of my photographs, some of which are posted below. Furthermore, Dave is also an extremely talented tattooer. If you're ever in so-cal and looking to get tattooed, look him up @ Classic Tattoo.
